Today the Wismer House officially announces the name of Port Elgin’s craft beer destination, Three Sheets Brewing.
Construction of the new brewery and store continues on schedule beside The Wismer House with a projected grand opening in December 2019.
“The foundation is being poured and on schedule,” said Jeff Carver, owner of The Wismer House. “Framing of the new addition will begin at the end of this week, the brewing vats and other equipment is in the final stages of fabrication and will be delivered in early November. We’ll continue to test and experiment with the recipes of our four flagship beers, so every thing is ready for launch some time in December 2019.”
Three Sheets, Four Beers
Three Sheets Brewing will launch with four flagship beers: a lager, a red ale, a pilsner and an IPA. After launch, watch for seasonal session beers to make their appearances. All four beers, and merchandise will be available in-store in the new building addition. The designs for the cans and the merchandise are currently in development.

“The Wismer House has always been about sharing great times with friends, about forgetting about your cares for a little while and enjoying the music, company and food. Three Sheets is the next logical step for us, distilling that experience into a nice tall glass of refreshing beer. It’s exciting for us, and it’s something that everyone here in town can be a part of. We’ll be listening to your feedback, and our beer will constantly reflect that.”
